04 August 2022PARK HOME RESIDENTS TO RECEIVE THE £400 ELECTRICTY REBATE

Doubts that the residents not on a standard utility meter might miss out on the £400 electricity rebate have been dispelled.  A UK government press release in August states:

“...we are confirming today that further funding will be available to provide equivalent support of £400 for energy bills for the 1% of households who will not be reached through the EBSS. This includes those who do not have a domestic electricity meter or a direct relationship with an energy supplier, such as park home residents. An announcement with details on how and when these households across Great Britain can access this support will be made this Autumn.”

13 June 2022Willow Wood Celebrates Platinum Jubilee

Around 50 Willow Wood residents gathered in the community garden on Saturday 4 June 2022 to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee of HM Queen Elizabeth. The beautiful sunny afternoon set the scene for a wonderful event to enjoy an afternoon tea in celebration of HM's 70 years on the throne.

An excellent food spread was provided by the Committee with plenty of 'beverages' on offer too.  The event started with tea in the tent...

Afterwards, the crowd took to the open air to hear a speech from Major Ray Lorimer (Retd) who led a toast to the Queen.  Our oldest resident, Jean Campbell (86) cut the magnificent jubilee cake.

The merry gathering lasted till the early evening and a great day was enjoyed by all.
