Planning Permission Refused

A planning application by the owners of Willow Wood Park, Welch's Homes, which had been vigourously opposed by the Community was refused by West Lothian Council on 8 October 2009.  See application data from the external link below.

The application to further increase the number of homes on the park was opposed by numerous residents individually, by the Community Company acting for the residents and by a petition of the vast majority of residents.

The main objection was that the park already does not have the level of amenity area demanded by the site licence and the proposed  development would have further reduced the minimal amenity space.

The application was refused on those grounds.

Since making the application, the park owners have fenced off more of the already limited amenity area in contravention of the licence conditions and protests have been made to West Lothian Council as Licensing Authority.  We await some action.
