Scottish Park Home Legislation to be Updated
A recent parliamentary answer from the Minister for Housing and Communities in the Scottish Parliament, Mr Alex Neil MSP, suggests that at last, Park (Mobile) Home legislation in Scotland is to be updated.
The text of a question put by MS Irene Oldfather MSP (who herself, has taken an interest in park home sites in her constituency) and the answer from the Minister is below:

Irene Oldfather to ask the Scottish Executive further to the answer to question S3W-5628 by Stewart Maxwell on 31st October 2007, what further work it has undertaken with regard to improving the rights of park home residents.

Following consideration of Scottish Govenrment research which was commissioned to provide an accurate picture of residential park and mobile homes in Scotland I have agreed to a programme of work on mobile homes policy which will respond to the concerns of those in the sector. We are putting resources in place to deliver this and shall make an announcement on the detail shortly.
Willow Wood representatives have been invited to a meeting with the Minister which will take place week commencing 5 October 2009 and we will report further as soon as we know more
