Scottish Legislation Imminent
A meeting of the Scottish Government's Park Homes Stakeholder Group heard this week that the long awaited amending legislation is due to be tabled in the Scottish Parliament by Mid May. Target dates have come and gone over the past couple of years but the Officials concerned were confident that all the work had been completed to allow the order to go forward. If this timeline is met the legislation will become law in September 2013. Anothter piece of good news is that Primary legislation giving local authorities much more control over park home sites is likely to be included in a Housing Bill due to be presented to the Scottish Parliament in Autumn of 2013.
