COMMUNITY GREENHOUSE
Another step in our community development was taken recently with the establishment of the Community Greenhouse.        Sustainability was a major plank in the granting of our Community Right to Buy and it is good to see that self help can accomplish so much. The project was a team effort and the contributors are thanked elsewhere in this edition. As we go to press, already four families are growing vegetables.
NEW FOOTPATH
Still more progress to report with the completion of the external footpath. Despite the hiccup of a lamppost being wrongly positioned, this has now been put right. Unfortunately, the contract did not stretch to a pedestrian crossing at the traffic lights or landscaping of the ground adjacent.    The Wanderer understands that the WWRA committee are pursuing these issues with West Lothian Council and Stoneyburn Community Council.

PHLAGS UPDATE

Jim Haluch stood in for Mike Larkman at a meeting with our MSP and senior officials of the Scottish Government Housing Dept who have responsibility for park homes. The delegates present made a clear case for urgent legislation to safeguard park home residents. The Officials were only able to indicate that a statement is imminent on strengthening the law to give local authorities stronger powers to deal with Mobile and park home issues.
